 ITIL Foundations Certification Course
The Foundations Course in ITIL is designed to give the student the introductory information on best practices for IT Service Management. The course runs for 2.5 days, followed immediately by a certification exam administered by an agent of the certifying organization.

The course covers the Service Delivery and Service Support processes and includes instructor presentation, class discussion, sample examinations, and a case study. The minimum number of students per class is 6 and the maximum is 16.

The Service Delivery processes are Service Level Management, Financial Management, Availability Management, Capacity Management, and IT Service Continuity Management. The Service Support processes are Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management. Service Support also covers the Service Desk, which is a function.
